Despacho Paras, S.C., was founded under the name Paras, Ulibarri y Asociados, S.C., in 1970, by Mr. Alberto Parás Pagés, as the first firm in Mexico to specialize in tax consulting and litigation.

After almost 40 years of activities, our firm is a leading dedicated tax firm in Mexico, committed to rendering technically sound, yet practical tax services and solutions. It is with this profile in mind that our firm renders its services to numerous individuals and corporations of both national and foreign capital, as well as to non-residents, with many of these relationships spanning the entire history of our firm.

Our clients are typically large to medium corporations, and corporate groups or conglomerates dedicated to activities that include commercial and industrial areas, telecommunication services, the energy sector, insurance companies and other financial institutions, and tourism and entertainment. Pursuant to our activities, some members of our firm are often involved in the review or preparation of proposals for amendments to tax legislation in coordination with competent authorities.

Currently, our firm is composed of five partners that are lawyers and certified public accountants, as well as an additional partner that received his degree in business administration.

Our professional staff is comprised of approximately twenty legal and accounting professionals. This multidisciplinary integration of professionals strongly contributes to our capacity to provide practical tax solutions for the benefit of our clients.

From its founding, it has been our firm's policy to maintain an horizontal organization as a means of guaranteeing the quality of our services and ensuring that our clients receive all our services directly through the firm's partners. In the process, our staff receives a versatile professional formation.

As of 2006, our firm is an allied member of World Tax Service, an international network of independent firms dedicated to giving quality and practical tax consulting services, founded and coordinated by WTS Germany, a tax consulting firm with offices in various German cities.
